Description
Provides anonymous legal information and advice to women and girls affected by domestic, intimate-partner or sexual violence. Its lawyers explain relevant laws and legal procedures, help users understand their options and advise people who are experiencing difficulties during police, court, child-custody or other official proceedings. PATENT may provide longer-term legal, psychological and social support in selected cases, but it cannot represent every person who contacts the service. Women and girls who have fled Ukraine may use the same legal-aid channels, and PATENT states that interpretation can be arranged where necessary.
